The sequencer allowed for the use of different instruments and note lengths. We were then to save this riff as a “.midi” file and import it into, screenshot the musical notes, export again, then later publish this to where we could share our short riffs with the world.

What I Learned

I found that the creation of a riff does not need to be a large production. Really you only need about four bars to create a “catchy” riff that can be used in a song. I also found that using an online sequencer is very useful to introducing using Garageband and gave me a good set up for what using a true music production program will be like.
